sarahlosesweight

Hi! My name is Sarah and I'm a 22 year old law student in the UK.

Stressed and busy busy busy but learning not to turn to unhealthy eating habits for comfort. Instead, I'm eating healthy and exercising to get healthy and fit.

While I've got an UGW of 140lbs, that goal is flexible and I just like having a number to be able to count down to. The real aim is to get healthy and happy :)

Ask me anything - I'm always happy to meet new people and help where I can! I don't have the largest number of followers out there but I'm happy to do promos too...especially if I like your blog!

Early #transformationtuesday
80lbs! Boom! Gone! Hahaha…well, it took awhile (but it should!) and I did it! Changed my lifestyle (this also took a long time to master!) and found my balance. Life is not all about weight loss, so don’t restrict or put pressure on yourself. There’s no quick fix, all you need is time. You can do it if you want to. Trust me! Every little change adds up :) Stay positive! (@e_mags) [height-5’9, first picture -US Size 18, second picture - US size 2-4]

Amazing progress!

Wow!!

Wow!!

Apologies for the lack of posts lately!

I’m gearing up for my final exam on Friday (basically I live at my desk revising), so I just haven’t had much time to spend on here. But once I’m free I’ve got some fitness goals that I’ve been putting on hold for a while so I’m excited to get working on those and posting all about them!

Starting to really like how my body looks in workout clothes. First step towards body confidence!

Tomorrow, I am doing the Aplastic Anaemia Trust’s 10k Windsor Great Park Walk.
A few years back, one of my best friends was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia, a disease which causes the bone marrow to stop producing blood cells properly. It started with her just getting ill more often than was usual, and she was very pale, but then over Christmas she was rushed into hospital. The only known cure is a bone marrow transplant from a sibling, but unfortunately my friend is an only child. Whilst they sometimes use donors, the risks are higher.
Almost 5 years later, my friend is doing well despite being unable to have a transplant, and her blood counts are stabilised. However, there’s always that worry there, which is why I’m so glad to be doing this walk to raise money for the Trust with her. It will be an especially hard thing for her as any exercise is very difficult, especially 10k!
The Trust is the only charity dedicated to this disease, and they inject so much of their funds into research and helping those affected by it that they are still run from a shed!
I just wanted to raise a little awareness about this charity, and the disease itself.
Wish us luck!

Weigh In - 10th May 2013
2lbs down this week :) Which is great after a slow couple of weeks. What’s exciting about this is i’m 0.5lbs away from my next goal of 160lbs - here’s to hoping next week I can finally hit that goal!
What’s also exciting is that it is my birthday on monday, and this time last year I weighed 202lbs. Here I am one year later and I’ve lost around 40lbs since then (total weight loss overall currently stands at around 50lbs which is amazing!)
Choosing to live a healthier lifestyle was the best decision I ever made, for so many reasons!

Lord.

Every time I make progress photos, I have to just stop and close my eyes for a while, because this happy feeling bubbles up inside me.

Wow! Amazing progress! :)

I am not going to be fit and trim and tiny for Summer. And you know what? Im ok with that. Its just another time of year and as long as Im working on myself I’m ok. Don’t let a season make you disappointed in yourself. Summer is the perfect time to get outdoors and sweat it out and do some fun healthy activities. You don’t need to be perfect OR at your goal to enjoy it.

eatcleanmakechanges:

You know what? This is true and YES I do post summer is coming and do your squats but I ALSO say each person is different, has different goals and must do a lifestyle that is FOR them and them alone.

I NEEDED THIS POST.

When I started losing weight and getting healthy last year, I naively thought I’d be skinny and “perfect” by this summer. It’s now clear I won’t be at my UGW, but you know what - I don’t care!

I’m going to spend this summer exercising and getting fit because summer is perfect for that, and especially for doing so with friends and enjoying myself. I’m not going to cover myself up because my body isn’t “ready” yet. :)

When you reach your goal and the top of the mountain. You don’t remember the bad days, you just remember how hard you worked to get there. And how worth it was! All the good days get you to the top, but the bad days create the fighter in you <3 -121 pounds

Can’t wait for this day :)

An example of the ‘healthy pizza’ I was talking about earlier.

Thanks! And this does look great!
